This routine provides budgetary control by period, enabling financial planning of operations through classes registered.

Budgeting means to make a forecast of a determined event, in terms of inflow and outflow of resources.

The budget is the most suitable management tool for financial planning, and in a secure manner, of the operational activities of a company, whether routine (like payroll) or sporadic (like projects, participation in seminars, etc.).

The budgets, subdivided into cost centers, reflect the need to control each set of tasks, group of people or events. The system enables monthly apportionment of budgets by cost center in Apportionment.

Budgeting does not merely mean estimating the actual requirement of resources in a cost center during a specified period; it also involves correctly assessing the entry of resources to sustain the company's operating capacity.

A budget is prepared to know what resources will be needed for carrying out a specific project, stipulating how the resources to be obtained will be employed and serves as a parameter for the financial management of an organization.

Throughout this routine, the budget can be elaborated, making it transparent, easy to understand and an efficient instrument for accompanying financial events.

Example:

Considering a project where a few trips are necessary for surveying the customer's data, this budget will be made as it follows:

Class

201.102 - (Travel expenses for the project)

Year

2004

January

1,000

February

1,300

March

1,000

Currency

1

Cost Center

000001 - Sale

In this example, the travel budget for the project allows financial managers to have a better idea about the requirements versus the possibilities of resources usage, based on definition of targets. Budget is an instrument that can also be used to compare in any period, evaluating what was budgeted and the actual amounts, both monthly and annually.
