Check out below the new features available in the fluig 1.5.6 update:

Identity

Self-service for password recovery and unlocking

No more calls to Help Desk. Your users can now perform the automatic unlocking of users.

We know that most of your IT calls in the company are about managing passwords, and now fluig Identity will help even more in your day-to-day.

If your user loses their password, we thought of something very modern for them to confirm that they are the ones requesting the password recovery. Your company registers several secret images that will be displayed to users, and sets their safety guidelines as number of images that will be registered by the user, pictures shown in selection, attempt expiration time and more.

To enable them to do that on their own equipment, we created a wizard that, once configured, will natively integrate with their Windows 7 or above and display, directly on the Windows authentication screen, a link that allows the user to reset their password or unlock their user without having to talk to the IT team.

SmartSync - Configurable sync time

Is the network usage a critical factor for your company?

 You asked for it, and we listened. With the new 3.0.1 version of SmartSync, you can configure the time of synchronization among your LDAP servers, and the best, per domain. This reduces the consumption of bandwidth and resources from your server and defines the update time.

In addition, you can also configure the data verification time with the fluig Identity server in the cloud.

 


Don't worry: you can now change the email on the LDAP

Safe and flexible integration with different technologies.

Now, even when you change your e-mail in the Microsoft Active Directory or openLDAP, all your configured applications are maintained, and your identity on Identity is secured.

Configuring the platform got easier

Now the system settings allow you to edit the parameters on the screen without the need to directly change the settings files. Log in to fluig as the user "wcmadmin", go to Control Panel > WCM > System settings > tab Platform parameters  and check out that new feature!

Note

Changing some parameters requires the fluig service to be rebooted.

Set the minimum time to view SCORM content

Now you can set the minimum time to view SCORM content in training courses and classes.

While performing a training course or a topic item of a class, if the student tries to end the execution of SCORM content before the minimum time set, they are notified with the information about the remaining time to achieve the minimum viewing time. If it is ended anyway, the content is considered as performed and no grade will be assigned – if it is SCORM content that has a built-in evaluation and generates a score.

A tip

If you do not want to use a minimum viewing time, just leave the field blank or filled out with zeros.

     


     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    New items for subjects, folders and classes in the Public API

    Now that there are new items in the Public API, the range of subjects and folders you can manage in the subjects and classes catalog is greater.

    Managing the fluig Viewer environment got easier

    For those using fluig in a Windows environment, managing fluig Viewer got much simpler: it is no longer necessary to have Internet Information Services (IIS) installed. Also it is no longer necessary to install fluig Viewer on the same fluig server: just configure the server address in the additional data of the company.

      Fluig Connect and Messaging combined to make your daily life easier

      Have you ever thought of combining fluig Connect and fluig Messaging to make your daily life much easier? So enjoy it, because that is already a reality. Now you can use Messaging directly from fluig Connect to start conversations, receive notifications of individual and group messages,  documents sent, and also participate in meetings.

        Do you need to download more than one file or folder at once? Don´t worry, all that is now possible. You can download multiple folders, multiple documents from a folder or even folders and documents at once.

          Now the subject follow-up notification displays the name of the document that has been created or updated, which makes it easier if you have many topics of interest.

          Do you need to start a process but do not know in which category it is? Don't worry, search it by the process you need quickly. You can search it by the name of the process, by its category or by its subcategory. Voilà! Now you can start your request.

             


             



             

            Dataset synchronization via public API

            Now you can reschedule a dataset synchronization for an earlier time by using the method  dataset/synchronizeDataset/ of the Public API, without having to wait for the next execution time set in the Task Scheduler.

            Have the view of the exact scenario of the requests

            Task Central has evolved so that you can perform your daily activities more quickly and easily. Now, pending tasks tabs display the exact number, even when that number is high – more than 999 tasks. As you go to the tabs Due tasks or Tasks in pool - group or role - you can view the number of delayed tasks, the number of on-time pending tasks and the total number of pending tasks (delayed + on-time ones). So, you are always up to date with the real scenario of the requests in which you are involved.

            In addition, finding a particular task got much quicker and easier. With the new location field, you can search for a task by a value in any request field - only among the tasks on the current page - or search by number or request identification — in this case, in all the pending tasks, regardless of which page they are. It comes in handy, huh?

               


               


               

               


               


              API to transfer pending issues

              Now you can use the public API to transfer pending items from one user to another. By entering user logins, you can transfer all the pending items of workflow processes and documents. As a result of the operation, a transfer log is generated.

              Social

              Save your Messaging conversations for future reference

              Now you can save the message history of any Messaging conversation in a PDF file by saving the file in your My Documents folder or any folder of your choice, inside the fluig folder structure of your company on which you have write permission.

              You can export all the message history of a conversation or, if you prefer, only the messages sent within a certain period. You can also choose between exporting all - texts and attachments of the conversation - or only the texts. Cool, huh?

                 

                 


                 


                 


                Messaging notifications on your desktop!

                Messaging is now even more modern and interactive. Now you can receive notifications on the desktop when new individual or group conversation messages are sent to you, even if your Messaging window is not open or the platform is minimized. In addition, you can also configure it to display the number of unread messages in the browser title.

                  Create content-rich articles with videos

                  How about a video to illustrate the content of your article? As the old saying goes, pictures speak louder than words. Creating and editing articles in communities now has the feature that adds videos, which brings more life to your articles and makes them content-richer. Just click, choose the video and click play. Lights, camera and action!

                     


                     






                    Mobile

                    Push notifications on fluig. Now they are native!

                    Push notifications – which were requested from the fluig Store and installed in the Component Center – are now a native feature of the platform. They allow you to keep up with what happens on fluig in real time as you use it on a smartphone or tablet with iOS and Android, making your day-to-day activities more agile and interactive.

                    Don´t worry!

                    If you already use push notifications, you have nothing to worry about, no procedure is necessary due to that change. Just keep using them!

                       


                       


                       


                      How about viewing pages on fluig Mobile?

                      Yes, now you can view pages on your mobile devices! We know that you have been waiting a lot for that, so now you have a  world of possibilities and customizations at your hands. You can do a multitude of things with pages on fluig Mobile [except for making coffee ...].

                      Home can be accessed via the item Home from the main menu. And all the other pages and sub-pages via the item Pages from the main menu.

                         


                         


                         


                         

                         

                        Create tasks on fluig Mobile

                        Do you need to create and delegate tasks? You can use fluig Mobile! Now you can create and keep track of the tasks of the process List Tasks via fluig Mobile, and enjoy the convenience of delegating tasks at your fingertips.

                        Currently task creation is restricted only to the  process startup. We will have more news soon!

                         


                        Make notes in a document easily!

                        Notes in a document have never been so fluid. Yes, now you can make notes in documents using fluig Messaging. Go to fluig Mobile and tap Start notes. A conversation will be created on fluig Messaging and you can make notes in the document and also add other users to collaborate.

                         

                         

                        Customize the initial view of your window!

                        Customizing the fluig Mobile home screen can now also be made for Windows Phone. If you have already configured it for Android and iOS, don't worry: as soon as you update your fluig Mobile application for Windows Phone, its home screen will be customized.

                        Permissions in communities applied to fluig Mobile

                        Have you set permissions to post in communities and would like them to be applied to mobile? Relax, your wish is already a reality. Now the permissions to post, comment, support, and delete the posts set on fluig are reflected on your smartphone or tablet.

                         

                         

                        You can now move processes offline using Windows Phone!

                        Carry on with your activities in your Window even if the connection is not enabled. Now you can continue with your activities even in places where there is no internet connection. You can:

                          • change processes to offline: allowing requests to be created even without internet connection;
                          • change one or more requests to offline: before leaving to do your activities, change the requests to offline so you can continue even without internet connection.

                        Outbox: after you start and move requests offline, they stay in the Outbox until it is synchronized again when there is internet connection. The option can be manual or automatic, according to the settings of your choice.

                        In this session, you can find a list of a few bugs that have been fixed in this update to make sure everything runs smoothly on your platform.

                        • Removal of the user’s e-mails from the list of invitations sent via the feature Users' Invitation from the tab Collaboration in the Control Panel.

                        • Generation of the number of the new version of a document that has reviews when edited and defines that a new version should be created.

                        • Block of a document’s content from being edited  – via Webdav - when it is pending approval.

                        • Deletion of the file from the upload directory after you post it using the feature Multiple posting and checking the option "Clear upload directory after posting".

                        • The protocol for sending realtime notifications is now websocket and no longer polling. You can also disable polling, which is often necessary in environments with many Internet Explorer 9 customers since its inconsistencies overload the server.
