The Management Accounting module uses its own nomenclature to treat cost management information. However, if the nomenclature is not in accordance with that already used by the company's accounting system, the Management Accounting module allows standard nomenclatures to be modified.
Procedures
To modify a cost configuration:
1. In the Accounting Configurations maintenance window, select Cost Configuration.
The system displays the screen to maintain cost configurations.
2. Select the record and click Edit.
The window Editing of Cost Levels is displayed.
3. Fill out data according to field help instructions.
4. Check and confirm the data.
Tip:
The Management Accounting module has 4 levels for book values:
Only Level 2 through 4 nomenclatures can be modified. The nomenclature Ledger Account is standardized by the generally accepted accounting standard principles, that is why the Management Accounting module does not change it.
All the fields that control the cost balances can be enabled/disabled within the Management Accounting module itself. For example, if the company only has cost centers, the other levels (accounting item and value class) can be disabled. From then, the user cannot use these fields. The field Controls Balance enables this control. |
Important:
SIGACTB.INI is the file that stores these configurations in the system execution default directory (SYSTEM). In case of any problem with the nomenclatures, this file must be deleted. The system will create it again with the original configuration. |
