There are several ways of issuing reports in Management Accounting environment. This flexibility is the result of a wide range of parameterizations related to such environment. Parameterizations involved are briefly described below. Depending on the report, they may be relevant or not.
This parameter, which can be configured through Configurator environment, controls the way a value to be printed is identified. Enter:
D -> To print characters D (when balance is Debit) or C (when balance is Credit). This type of identification ignores the normal condition of the account.
S -> To print a minus sign before the value when the account balance is opposed to the normal account condition.
P -> To print parentheses when the account balance is opposed to the normal account condition.
C -> To print only C when the account balance is Credit, regardless of the normal account condition. Debit values have no printed identifier.
Reports involved: all the ones that print account balances.
Several reports of the Management Accounting environment enable the use of Configuration of Books. Exceptions referring to Configurations are described below:
If no book configuration is chosen in the report, accounting masks to be considered are the ones registered through Configurator environment in parameters MV_MASCARA and MV_MASCCUS (the accounting item and value class do not have masks of this type).
Depending on the report used, Management View does not apply. That is the case of reports of type Journal/Ledger, etc., which must effectively demonstrate accounting entries made.
These reports only use Configuration of Books to inherit accounting masks and value picture.
If you want to change the picture of values being printed, use this field. Otherwise the system standard picture will be used.
If you want to change de amount of decimals to be printed, change this field. Otherwise the value of parameter MV_CENT will be considered.
Some reports require that basic balances are updated before issuing the report.
If parameter MV_ATUSAL is set as N (do not update basic balances), a warning is displayed indicating that the routine of Balance Update must be executed. If the parameter is set as S, such warning is not displayed.
