For accounting entries made in currency 1 to be correctly converted into the other currencies, exchange rates of currencies must be registered every day, when entering in the system or through this option. However, is conversion is made from manual entry, only 4 standard currencies may be filled.

Currency conversion is extremely useful to companies that follow up their balance sheets and results in a foreign currency. Companies which send their accounting entries to other countries also need to convert the currency.

Tip:

Since currencies can also treat readjustment indexes (UFIR, IGP, etc.), rates registered for them will be values of indexes they represent.

  • Exchange rates must be registered every day, including weekends, because calculation of the period average rate takes them into account.
  • Do not change rate of Currency 01 because such change does not impact operation in the system.
