In order to adapt the Microsiga Protheus to the different realities of use, especially in cases of remote access to the System or for clients that do not have many resources in their workstations, the System offers the Resource Saving feature, which restricts user access or access to specific system resources.

The optimization of resources is evaluated according to the need for access to the System or availability of equipment, as identified by the environment administrator.

Configuration Procedures

To configure this feature use one of the following options:

System Configuration by the AppServer.ini file

In the Appserver configuration file, add the ECONOMYRES key in the desired environment section. The value can be:

01 - for Functional Menu;

02 - for Online Panel;

03 - for Internet Browse in the home menu;

04 - for Details displayed on the Browse screens;

05 - to display Transparent Panels in interfaces.

Configuration through the Security Policy option

- Access Configurator > User > Passwords > Policy.

- Click the Other tab.

- Under System Resources, uncheck the boxes of the options you want to disable for the system.

Configuration using the Users option

- Access Configurator > User > Passwords > User.

- Select the desired user and click Change.

- Click on the Parameterization tab.

- Under System Resources, uncheck the boxes of the options you want to disable for the user.

Configuration via the User Group option

- Access Configurator > User > Passwords > Groups.

- Select the desired group and click Change.

- Click on the Parameterization tab.

- Under System Resources, uncheck the boxes of the options you want to disable for the group.
