It generates the pre-formatted file to import the ICMS Information and Calculation Form from the State of Rio de Janeiro (GIA-ICMS). The program available handles information of the Tax Records module only.


To whom it is applicable

To ICMS Taxpayers indenturing the ICMS Calculation Tax Records.

Purpose

This statement aims at presenting the tax calculated in each period, as well as other economic and tax data.

Competence

State – Rio de Janeiro

Delivery Term

Monthly, ranging according to the last digit of CNPF root.

Note: The last number of the CNPJ root is the one right before the slash. (Example: in the CNPJ 12.345.678/0001-00, it is 8).

Application provided by tax authorities

The magnetic file can be presented two ways:

•  Add the statement through the GIAICMS generator program, generate the text file and validate it, with no intervention of another system, or;

•  Generate the text file by implementing instructions and validating in the website: http://www.fazenda.rj.gov.br
