Fluig step by step installation
Next you will find the step by step instructions to install Fluig in Windows:
- On the first screen, select the installation media language.
In Terms of Use, the product license agreement is displayed with the terms of use, copyright and recommendations for running installation, which should be carefully read.
Flag information: when this option is checked the user agrees with the product license agreement terms.
To proceed, check the I agree with this license agreement option and then click Next.
- In Fluig Installation, inform whether to install or update Fluig. Keep the Install Fluig option checked.
- In Installation Directory, type the product target directory.
By default, the installation folder is: <directory where operating system is installed>\fluig. For example, C:\fluig.
On the Server Data screen, the IP Address is automatically filled in. Check whether it is the main IP.
Example: A server with several network cards can select the wrong IP desired. Thus, it can be changed manually. If the IP is correctly configured, you don't need to update the field.
- On this screen, select the most suitable database for your needs.
Important
The database management system should be installed and the database or instance should be created according to supplier specifications.
- In this step, provide data to connect to the database. Each database has a unique connection configuration. Check below the required information for each database and use the guide regarding the previously selected database:
For the MySQL database, you need to download the MySQL Driver, according to details in MySQL database configuration.
For a MySQL database, you need to provide the following data:
- Driver File: provide the path to MySQL driver;
- User: user used for connection to database;
- Password: user password used for connection to database;
- Server: server address;
- Port: server logical port;
- Database: database name;
For a Microsoft SQL Server database, you need to provide the following data:
- User: user used for connection to database;
- Password: user password used for connection to database;
- Server: server address;
- Port: server logical port;
- Database: database name;
- Instance: SQL Server instance name;
For an Oracle database, you need to provide the following data:
- User: user used for connection to database;
- Password: user password used for connection to database;
- Server: server address;
- Port: server logical port;
- Bank: Database instance SID (Oracle System Identifier);
- In Email Configuration, the fields are not mandatory. You can provide the SMTP Server address, SMTP Port and Sender Email for notification of actions performed in Fluig.
If the SMTP server requires authentication, you need to check the Server requires authentication option and provide a valid user and password.
- In License Server, type the License Server address and License Server Port in order to enable product for use.
Important: The values automatically filled in are only a suggestion.
- On the Chat Server screen, type the Chat Server address, the Chat Server Port, and the Realtime Port. The server address used for product installation can be used for the chat feature configuration.
Important: If you want the chat server and the installation server to be the same, the chat server url must have the same IP as the one provided in the IP Address field of the Server Data screen.
- On the Cache Server configuration screen, you can configure the server that will store Fluig cache data. In the Cache Server URL field, type the Cache server address.
- On the Fluig Identity configuration screen, check the Enable authentication with Fluig Identity option if you want to use authentication with other applications. Provide the Fluig Identity URL, Fluig Identity API URL, Security Key and Identity company domain.
- After the verification is complete, click Next.
- In this step, the installer provides the packages that will be installed. Next, the installer checks the compatibility of software components existing in the server and prepares installation with the previously informed data.
- The files will be copied to the installation target folder. After completing the installation process, click Next.
- In this step, the installer displays execution of external processes and a product installation report. The system will be registered as a Microsoft Windows service. Click Next.
- Fluig installation completed successfully. Click Done to finish.
Fluig Initialization
Fluig will be installed as a service in Microsoft Windows. In order to start or pause the product, go to: Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Services.
You need to change the Fluig service initialization user. The fluig_MemCached, fluig_RealTime and FLUIG services should be started, in this order, by a user with administrator privileges in the server where Fluig was installed. In order to do that:
- Right click one of the services
- Select the "Properties" option
- Select the "Logon" tab on top of the window
- Select the "This account" option and provide a user with administrative privileges in server
Perform the above procedure for each of the Fluig services.
Finally, select and start the FLUIG process.
