If the Calculate INSS? field is set as Y, this field must be set indicating the tax percentage to be collected when this class is selected.

The Calculate INSS field defines whether there will be INSS (National Social Security Institute) calculation for the routines that use the registered classes, while the INSS Perc. field defines the tax percentage to be applied.

When including bills payable and receivable and this field is set as Yes, the system calculates INSS amounts on the bills value, according to the percentage defined in INSS Perc. and, for bills receivable, the clients register, where the field Calculate INSS must be set as Yes. Likewise, for bills payable, the Calculate INSS field must also be set as Yes in the suppliers register.

The system checks the MV_INSS parameter, which indicates the class for classifying the INSS bill.

The INSS Base field indicates the calculation basis percentage for bills on which social security contribution incurs:

 Example 1 - Application of the Calculate INSS field in Accounts Receivable:

When registering class which calculates INSS with a rate of 8% and a client with INSS calculation, upon adding a bill receivable of R$ 1,000.00, the system calculates the amount of R$ 80.00 for the INSS.

 

Example 2 - Application of the Calculate INSS field in Accounts Payable:

When registering class which calculates INSS with a rate of 8% and a vendor with INSS calculation, upon adding a bill payable of R$ 1,000.00, the system calculates the amount of R$ 80.00 for the INSS.
