Speaking of tracks and training...

This catalog is a collection of tracks and training courses grouped into folders, presented in an organized and user-friendly structure that comprises the self-learning environment (where students register and attend courses independently, without any intervention from teachers or tutors.)

The structure comprises the following hierarchical levels:

To view the catalog, users are required to have, at least, reading permission on the catalog root folder, and the option Reading from the feature Learning - Tracks and training catalog in the Control Panel permissions has to be enabled for them.

Access permissions or restrictions are defined for each catalog item for specific users or user groups. Users can also define the inheritance of permissions or restrictions from parent items to child items. For more information, see Catalog permissions and restrictions.

Besides creating, editing and deleting catalog items, users can also copy or move them, provided that users have due permissions to perform such actions.

You can also import and export training courses from the catalog.

Access catalog of available tracks and training sourses


01. In the main menu, place the mouse over Learning.

02. Click Tracks and training.

03. View the catalog of available tracks and training courses.



Edit catalog


Users are required to have, at least, modification permission on the catalog root folder to perform this action.


01. On the homepage, click Edit, located to the right of the name of the catalog root folder.

02. In Permissions, click Add to define catalog access permissions.

03. In the pop-up window, find and select the user, user group, class or subject to which you wish to assign permissions.

To find the item, use the search field – located in the upper right corner of the window – or page through the items – arrows located in the lower right corner.

You can also select more than one item at once.

04. Click Add.

05. In the Level column – next to the added item –select the option that establishes the permission level to be assigned to it.

Available options are:

  • Reading;
  • Execution;
  • Writing;
  • Modification;
  • Deletion;
  • Complete.

For detailed information regarding each permission option, go to Catalog permissions and restrictions.

To edit the permission on an added item, simply select the new option to be assigned to it in the Level column.

To delete an added item, simply click the Delete icon – located in the line corresponding to the item and to the right of the Level column.

06. In Restrictions, click Add if you want to define catalog access restrictions.

07. In the pop-up window, find and select the user, user group, class or subject to which you wish to assign restrictions.

To find the item, use the search field – located in the upper right corner of the window – or page through the items – arrows located in the lower right corner.

You can also select more than one item at once.

08. Click Add.

09. In the Level column – next to the entered item –select the option that establishes the restriction level to be assigned to it.

Available options are:

  • Reading;
  • Execution;
  • Writing;
  • Modification;
  • Deletion;
  • Complete.

To edit the restriction on an entered item, simply select the new option to be assigned to it in the Level column.

To delete an added item, simply click the Delete icon – located in the line corresponding to the item and to the right of the Level column.

10. Click Save or Cancel if you want to discard the changes made.



Access catalog


To access the catalog, you are required to have, at least, reading permission on the catalog root folder, and the option Reading – from the feature Learning - Tracks and training catalog in the Control Panel permissions has to be enabled.


01. Click the name of the catalog root folder.

02. Browse through the catalog and view all available items.



Create folder in the catalog


Only users that have, at least, writing permission on the location in the catalog where to perform this action are allowed to do it.


01. After accessing the catalog root folder, access the location where the folder will be created.

02. Click New, located in the upper left corner.

03. Click Folder.

 When you click this option, it displays a window to add the folders. For more information about available actions, go to Folder.



Create track in the catalog


Only users that have, at least, writing permission on the location in the catalog where to perform this action are allowed to do it.


01. After accessing the catalog root folder, access the location where the track will be created.

02. Click New, located in the upper left corner.

03. Click Tracks.

 When you click this option, it displays a window to add tracks. For more information on available actions, go to Track.


Create training course in the catalog


Only users that have, at least, writing permission on the location in the catalog where to perform this action are allowed to do it.


01. After accessing the catalog root folder, access the location where the training course will be created.

02. Click New, located in the upper left corner.

03. Click Training courses.

 When you click this option, it displays a window to add training courses. For more information on available actions, go to Training.




Only users that have, at least, writing permission on the location in the catalog where to perform this action are allowed to do it.


01. After accessing the root catalog folder, access the location where the link will be created.

02. Click New, located in the upper left corner.

03. Click Link.

 When you click this option, it displays the window to add links. For more information about available actions, go to Link.
