Structures

The product structure shows how a product is assembled throughout its levels, displaying its components and quantities in a tree shape, having each element linked to the higher level (parent product).

It is based on this structure that the drawback concession act generates the Siscomex record, integrating its components with the imports (SIGAEIC or by manually entering in SIGAEDC) and relating to the export of the parent product (SIGAEEC or by manually entering in SIGAEDC).

To determine the composition of the parent product, you need to have a list of components.

To form the structures, the following are basically entered:

Set

Product to be manufactured - Finished or Intermediate Product.

Components

Products or material used to produce the set - Raw material or Intermediate Product.

Quantity

Quantity used to manufacture a unit of the set. Concerning workforce,  you must  enter  as  quantity, the standard time spent in each cost center.

For allocation and purchase of a product, the regular quantity that must be used in the set plus the loss percentage, if defined.

Informs whether the structure is variable or fixed. If Fixed, the system calculates the requirements according to the quantity defined in the structure. If Variable, the calculation is made according to the requirements.

Procedures

To add a product structure:

1. In the \"Structure Maintenance\" window, press [F12] to define the parameters.
2. Fill out the parameter according to the field help instructions and confirm it.
3. Select Add.

The system displays a window to assemble the structure.

4. When you fill out parameter MV_EMPEXP, the assigns to [F4] the feature to search exported products, according to the parameter definition, otherwise, the feature remains the same (searches for products in a file, with no difference between exported and imported products).
5. Fill out the fields according to field help instructions.

Note the following fields:

Code: Enter the code of the product for which the structure will be assembled.
Similar Structure: Enter the code of a product whose structure was already registered and to be used as a base for this registration.
Base Quantity: It is the amount used as base for calculating quantities for the whole structure to be registered, that is, when the whole structure is ran, the finished product quantity is the Base Quantity.
6. After confirming the last field entered, press [ENTER], [TAB] or click on the empty part of the structure set window for the System to generate graphically the first product of the structure as a yellow folder.

The products are represented in the structure as folders identified by their code and description.

7. Click Add.

The system displays a screen to add the components that are part of the product structure.

8. Fill out the fields according to the field's help instructions.

Note the following fields:

Component: Enter the component to be registered in the structure.  Sequence
Sequence: Enter the product use order when assembling the structure. The sequence is only to arrange the products that are repeated in the same structure.
Amount: Enter the total quantity of the component to be used to assemble the main product.
Loss Index: Enter the percentage of component structural loss, if any. Some products may suffer some loss during the manufacturing/assembling process.
Qty. Fix/Var: Select \"Variable\" if the quantity of this component varies according to the volume required of the product; or select \"Fixed\" if the quantity of the component to be used in the production does not vary, no matter the quantity to be produced.

Example:

Variable - \"n\" Headlights for \"n\" automobiles produced. The number of headlights to be used varies according to the number of cars to be produced.

Fixed - \"1 ml\" of chemical catalyst for \"n ml\" of the substance to be produced. The amount of catalyst used in the process is the same, no matter the volume of the substance to be prepared.

9. Check the information and confirm.

The system returns to the screen to assemble the structure displaying the component registered as sub-item of the main folder.

The system allows to add the components for all the structure level. You can add a component for the main product, for the intermediate products, or for the other products by selecting the desired folder.

10. After selecting the folder to which the component to be registered will be part of, click Add and repeat the operation to add components according to the instruction of item 6 in this script.

This way, the structure of the main product is assembled according to the components registered for different levels of the structure.

11. Repeat the operation as many times as necessary for the structure to be completely assembled, i.e., until all the components of the main product and intermediate products are registered, as well as all the raw material.

The lower part of this screen displays some options to run the following functions:

Options

Function

Add

add components to the structure.

Edit

edit/modify data of the components registered in the structure.

12. Check the structure displayed and click OK to confirm.

15. When the routine has finished, the system displays a description of the recalculation of the product levels and its components. Click OK to confirm.

Tip:

Note that, in the maintenance window, if the structure of a Finished Product contains the structure of an Intermediate Product, the system automatically generates a file for this structure as well.
