Parameters

The routines of Protheus system use some general and specific configurations called as parameters.

A parameter is a variable that works as a key element in some procedure execution. According to its content, different results can be obtained.

The Copyright Control module uses several parameters, some of which are shared with other system modules. If they are changed, the configuration continues to be valid for other modules.

Some parameters are merely generic configurations, such as: configuration of peripherals (printers), opening dates, currency nomenclatures, and so on.
