Classification of Purchases

Users of the Purchase module integrated with the Fixed Assets module may have a few assets acquired through Purchases. Integration must be entered in the field Update Asset in the TIO file. This way, when an Inbound Invoice with specific TIO is entered, a registration is created in the Assets File with status Pending Classification.

The objective of this file is to classify the assets acquired in the Purchases module. To classify means to add other information (such as asset accounts, depreciation rates, cost center, etc.) regarding the asset to enable calculation of depreciation.

After the material is entered, it must be classified through this routine to be confirmed in the Fixed Assets file.

If the ledger account is not filled out in the asset register, its status will be Not Classified.

Classification of purchases can be:

Asset not Classified;
Classified Asset;
Asset Fully Written Off.
