Support to version 7.31 was interrupted by the manufacturer on 30/09/2009. Thus, it is recommended that you obtain a more recent version because from this date on approval with Microsiga Protheus will be discontinued in 6 months by TOTVS.
Collation: EN_US.CP1252 (regardless of O.S.). CLIENT 2 of Informix is approved.
The connection made by TOTVSDBAccess to use Informix Database is performed through an ODBC Driver, which must be configured in the device where TOTVSDBAccess is installed.
By configuring the connection through ODBC, some parameters of this configuration determine the database behavior. These parameters must be configured to fit the behavior expected by TOTVSDBAccess and by ERP application, since they will use this connection.
ODBC driver configuration for Informix has some configuration tabs (General, Connection, Environment, Advanced, and About... ). The important points of these settings are:
Environment - Cursor Behavior
The default value of this parameter is 0-Close. This parameter defines the database behavior regarding the automatic cursor closing (Queries) when a "commit work" or "rollback work" is performed in a transaction. Microsiga Protheus and TOTVSDBAccess do not expect any automatic cursor closing by confirming or aborting a transaction. Thus, Cursor Behavior must be configured with 1-Preserve for the correct operation of TOTVSDBAccess and Microsiga Protheus applications with Informix database. If this configuration is not adjusted, errors can be occurred and Microsiga Protheus applications may not work properly: database search failure, cursors ended with EOF() before returning all lines, and Stored Procedure call and execution failure. In these cases, the following errors are registered in TOTVSDBAccess LOG, in Fetch operations: Error : -11060 (37000) - [Informix][Informix ODBC Driver]General error. ( From tODBCStatement::Fetch )
Error : 0 (S1010) - [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Function sequence error ( From tODBCStatement::Fetch )
