Speaking of course subjects and classes...
The course subjects and classes catalog is a collection of subjects grouped into folders that are presented within an organized and user-friendly structure, making up the monitored learning environment, which is monitored by a teacher or tutor and has class or extracurricular activities.
The structure comprises the following hierarchical levels:
Access permissions or restrictions are defined for each catalog item for specific users, user groups, disciplines or classes. It is also possible to define inheritance of permissions and restrictions, i.e. the child items inherit permissions and restrictions of their parent items.
In addition to create, edit and delete items from the catalog, it is possible to copy and move them – provided that there is permission to do so.
To view the catalog, users are required to have, at least, reading permission on the catalog root folder, and the option Reading from the feature Learning - Course subjects and classes catalog in the Control Panel permissions has to be enabled for them.
Access permissions or restrictions can also be defined for each catalog item for specific users, user groups, subjects or classes. Users can define the inheritance of permissions or restrictions from parent items to child items.
Besides creating, editing and deleting catalog items, users can also copy or move them, provided that users have due permissions to perform such actions.
To return to the previous level in the catalog, simply click Back, located at the top left of the window.
Basic path
01. In the main menu, press Learning.
02. Click the tab Catalog.
03. Click Course subjects and classes.
04. View the root folder in the catalog of available course subjects and classes.
Alternative paths
Edit catalog
Users are required to have, at least, modification permission on the catalog root folder to perform this action.
01. On the homepage, , click Edit, located to the right of the name of the catalog root folder.
02. In Permissions, click Add to define catalog access permissions.
03. Add the user name, user group, class or subject to which permissions will be assigned.
04. In the displayed list, select the user, user group, class or discipline to which you wish to assign permissions.
05. In the Level table, select the option that determines the permission level to be assigned to the selected item.
The available options are:
- Reading;
- Execution;
- Writing;
- Modification;
- Deletion;
- Complete.
For detailed information regarding each permission option, go to Catalog Permissions and Restrictions.
06. Click on Add.
Users can add more than one item. After finishing, close the window to continue editing the catalog.
To change an item’s permissions, select the item and click Edit.
To delete an item’s permissions, select the item and click Delete.
07. Click Restrictions.
08. Click Add to include catalog access restrictions.
09. Enter the user name, user group, class or discipline to which you wish to assign restrictions.
10. In the displayed list, select the user name, user group, class or discipline to which you wish to assign restrictions.
11. In the Level table, select the option that determines the level of restriction assigned to the selected item.
The available options are:
- Reading;
- Execution;
- Writing;
- Modification;
- Deletion;
- Complete.

12. Click on Add.
Users can add more than one item. After finishing, close the window to continue editing the catalog.
To change an item’s restrictions, select the item and click Edit.
To delete an item’s restrictions, select the item and click Delete.
13. Click Save; or Cancel to discard changes made, if desired.
Access catalog
To access the catalog, you are required to have, at least, reading permission on the root folder of the catalog, and the option Reading from the feature Learning - Course subjects and classes catalog in the Control Panel permissions has to be enabled.
01. Click the name of the catalog root folder.
02. View all available items in the catalog.
Create folder in the catalog
Users are required to have, at least, writing permission on the catalog root folder to perform this action.
01. After accessing the catalog root folder, access the location where the folder will be created.
02. Click New, in the upper left corner of the window.
03. Click Folder.
When pressing this option, the folder insertion window appears. More information about available actions can be found in Folder.
Create subject in the catalog
01. Access the location where the subject will be created.
02. Press New.
03. Press Subject.
When pressing this option, the window to add subjects is displayed. more information about available actions can be obtained in Subject.
Create catalog link
Users are required to have, at least, writing permission on the catalog root folder to perform this action.
01. After accessing the root catalog folder, access the location where the link will be created.
02. Click New, in the upper left corner of the window.
03. Click Link.
