Basic Path

 

01. In the tab General information, enter the requested information.

The requested information is:

Language
Language that will be assigned to the folder. To add a new language, simply press New and select the language that you wish to be linked to the folder.

Set as default language
When checked, it specifies that the selected language will be the default language of the folder.

Acronym
Acronym to be assigned to the folder.

Name
Identifying name of the folder.

02. Press the tab Security.

03. Define whether the folder should inherit the permissions of the parent folder.

The available options are:

Inherits permissions
When selected, determines that the permissions and restrictions assigned to the folder will be the same as the parent folder. Even when the folder inherits the permissions, it is possible to set other permissions or restrictions specific to the folder in addition to those already inherited.

Does not inherits permissions
When selected, determines that the permissions and restrictions of the parent folder are not assigned to the folder.

04. Under permissions, press Add to set the access permissions to the folder, if desired.

05. Add the user name, user group, class or subject to which permissions will be defined.

06. In the displayed list, select the user, user group, class or discipline to which you wish to assign permissions.

07. In the level table, select the option that determines the permission level that will be assign to the selected item.

The available options are:

  • Reading;
  • Execution;
  • Writing;
  • Modification;
  • Exclusion;
  • Complete.

08. Press Add.

It is possible to add more than one item. When you are finished, close the window to continue the inclusion of the folder.

To change the permissions of an item, select it and press Edit.

To remove permissions for an item, select it and press Remove.

09. Press Restrictions.

10. Press Add to include folder access restrictions, if desired.

11. Enter the user name, user group, class or subject to which you wish to assign restrictions.

12. In the displayed list, select the user name, user group, class or discipline to which you wish to assign restrictions.

13. In the level table, select the option that determines the level of restriction that will be assigned to the selected item.

The available options are:

  • Reading;
  • Execution;
  • Writing;
  • Modification;
  • Exclusion;
  • Complete.

14. Press Add.

It is possible to add more than one item. When you are finished, close the window to continue the inclusion of the folder.

To change permissions for an item, select it and press Edit.

To remove the restrictions of an item, select it and press Remove.

15. Press Save; or Cancel to quit the creation of the folder, if desired.

 

Alternative Paths

 

Edit Folder

 

01. In the catalog, access the location where the folder is through the structure in the left table.

02. In the listing presented in the table on the right, select the folder to be edited.

To select the folder for editing, it is necessary to click on the corresponding table, because when you click in the link corresponding to its name, the folder is opened and the content can be accessed, not being possible to edit it.

03. Press Edit.

04. Change the chosen information.

05. Press Save or Cancel to discard the changes made, if desired.

 

Remove folder

 

01. In the catalog, access the location where the folder is through the structure in the left table.

02. In the listing presented in the table on the right, select the folder to be deleted.

To select the folder for removal, it is necessary to click on the corresponding table, because when you click in the link corresponding to its name, the folder is opened and its contents can be accessed, not being possible to remove it.

03. Press Remove.

04. In the message displayed, press Yes to confirm the deletion of the folder or No to quit the action, if desired.

 

Copy folder

 

01. In the catalog, access the location where the folder is through the structure in the left table.

02. In the listing presented in the table on the right, select the folder to be copied.

To select the folder to copy, it is necessary to click on the corresponding table, because when you click the link corresponding to its name, the folder is opened and its contents can be accessed, not being possible to copy it. 

03. Press Copy/move.

04. In the item destination, press Search.

05. In the target Items window, enter the name of the location to which the folder is copied.

06. In the listing displayed, select the target location of the folder copy.

07. Press Add and close the window.

08. Press Copy.

When pressing this option, the copy of the folder is created in the location set.

 

Move folder

 

01. In the catalog, access the location where the folder is through the structure on the left table to the window.

02. In the listing presented in the table on the right, select the folder to be moved.

To select the folder to move, it is necessary to click on the corresponding table, because when you click the link corresponding to its name, the folder is opened and its contents can be accessed, not being possible to move it.

03. Press Copy/move.

04. In the item destination, press Search.

05. In the target Items window, enter the name of the location to which the folder is moved.

06. In the listing displayed, select the location to which the folder is moved.

07. Press Add and close the window.

08. Press Move.

When pressing this option, the folder is moved to the location set.

 

Create subject in the folder

 

01. In the catalog of subjects and classes, access the folder in which the subject will be created.

To access the folder, simply locate it in the catalog and press the link corresponding to its name in the listing displayed in the table on the right.

02. Press New.

03. Press Subject.

When pressing this option, the window to add subjects is displayed. more information about available actions can be obtained in Subject

 

Create track in the folder

 

01. In the catalog of tracks and training, access the folder where the track will be created.

To access the folder, simply locate it in the catalog and press the link corresponding to its name in the listing displayed in the table on the right. 

02. Press New.

03. Press Track.

When pressing this option, the window to add tracks is displayed. more information about available actions can be obtained in Track

 

Create a training course in the folder

 

01. In the catalog of tracks and training, access the folder where the training will be created.

To access the folder, simply locate it in the catalog and press the link corresponding to its name in the listing displayed in the table on the right. 

02. Press New.

03. Press Training.

When pressing this option, the window to add training courses is displayed. more information about available actions can be found in Training

 

Create link in the folder

 

01. Access the folder in which the link will be created.

To access the folder, simply locate it in the catalog and press the link corresponding to its name in the listing displayed in the table on the right. 

02. Press New.

Speaking of folder...

Folders are used to organize the structure of learning catalogs of subjects and classes and trainings and tracks.

It is possible to include new folders inside each folder, links, subjects - in the catalog of subjects and classes – and training courses and tracks - in the catalog of training and tracks.
