The purpose of this routine is to transfer (post) the assets acquired as advances (N3_TIPO = 03) and/or common assets (N3_TIPO = 01) to final assets (N3_TIPO = 01).
Acquisitions by transfer must be made in the month immediately after the date of the last depreciation calculation. If advances have depreciation values, these will be moved to the final assets.
When the final assets are generated, no depreciation type is calculated.
Important
The setting of parameter MV_TIPDEPR, concerns the depreciation method. You can perform three calculations involving the asset acquisition date:
(0) Proportional to the date; (1) Full month or (2) Month subsequent to the date of acquisition.
If the content of parameter MV_TIPDEPR is (2) Month subsequent to the acquisition date, the addition of new assets generated by this routine may be performed in the same month of the last depreciation calculation.
The amounts of depreciation existing in each item to be posted are added together and prorated to the final asset(s), in proportion to their original value.
The advances transferred/posted can generate one or more final assets.
This process converts the asset from Type 13 - Managerial Advance to Type 10 - Managerial when generating the new finalized asset.
You can use the" TRANSFER" option of routine ATFA251 both to group and to break up assets to perform an acquisition by transfer:
Note
If the assets being transferred have a managerial type (10 or 13) in SN3, the Complement Tab is displayed for you to also classify the Managerial Type of the new asset. See below an example of Complement Tab configuration generating a type 10:
On the screen's footer, note the fields of folders Apportionment Totals, Tax Details and Extended Description:
Check and confirm the data to generate the assets in SN1 and SN3 as classified in ATFA251.
Use the "Detail" option to break down assets, that is, a transferred asset generates one or more goods depending on the percentage selected. This option supports the "Transfer" option by automatically filling in some fields on the screen.
See below an example of use:
In Acquisition by Transfer, place the mouse cursor on the fixed asset you want to transfer and select the option Detail.
The parameters screen is displayed. Reply as needed and click OK. See the example below:
A screen is displayed in which you can select the base code of the new assets to be generated by routine ATFA251. For example:
After filling in the desired base code, click Ok. A screen is displayed in which you can set the percentage of each new asset relative to the asset being transferred. Below is an example in which we generate two new assets, one with 75% of the original asset's value and the other with 25%:
Click Confirm. Now the question "Do you want to update the Depreciation Rate of the asset selected?" is displayed:
Note
If you answer NO, the system fetches the depreciation rate fields of the new asset equal to 0.
But if you answer Yes it fetches them completed in accordance with the asset that originated the acquisition by transfer.
In either case, you may enter the rate yourself if you want.
After answering the previous question, the Acquisition by Transfer screen is displayed with the fields completed. You can then edit any information you want and confirm the operation:
The assets are generated in SN1 and SN3 as classified in ATFA251.
Use the "Group" option when consolidating assets, that is, one or more transferred assets generates a new asset. This option supports the "Transfer" option by automatically filling in some fields on the screen.
See below an example of use:
In Acquisition by Transfer, place the mouse cursor on the fixed asset you want to transfer and select the option Group.
The parameters screen is displayed. Reply as needed and click OK. See the example below:
A screen is displayed in which you can select the assets to transfer and the base code of the new asset to be generated by routine ATFA251. For example:
Click Ok for the system to display several assets to be consolidated. Make your selection and click Confirm:
The Acquisition by Transfer screen is displayed with the fields filled in, which you may edit if desired and confirm the operation:
The new asset is generated in SN1 and SN3 as classified in ATFA251.
In this option, you can cancel an acquisition by transfer, provided that the cancellation is made in the same month in which the operation was executed.
See the example below:
In Acquisition by Transfer, place the cursor on the fixed asset the Acquisition by Transfer of which you wish to cancel and select the Canc Transf option.
The system cancels the operation, deleting the asset generated and resuming the assets posted in the operation at issue.
Use the "Agr Asset Construction" option in the process of generating assets under construction for definitive assets. The link below documents this process: Creation of asset under construction (AI) to receive components and submit information to CIAP
