It enables or disables recording information regarding transactions involving IPI. The field is linked to recording IPI information in the field Notes of the invoice, regardless of the parameter MV_IPINOBS.
This parameter defines, in invoices involving IPI, if the corresponding value is show at the field Notes.
The field Generate IPI in Notes, has the following filling out options:
- 1=Yes: the system considers the IPI information to be recorded in the field Notes of the invoice, using the parameter MV_IPINOBS.
- 2=No: the Inflow/Outflow Documents routines, permanent in the system, disregard the IPI information to be recorded in the field Notes of the invoice, observing only the information from the field Gen. IPI Notes.

Important:
The parameter MV_IPINOBS defines, in invoices involving IPI, if the corresponding value is show at the field Notes. It is configured as YY:
- The first Y corresponds to the first position of the parameter = Non-taxable IPI (indicates that the Non-taxable IPI is part of the notes);
- The second Y corresponds to the second position of the parameter = IPI in ICMS tax base (indicates that, when IPI is part of ICMS tax base, it must be shown in the column notes);
- If any of them must not be shown, its position must be set to N.
