The Product Indicator routine can be used to serve companies that have several branches and have a hard time to use the product table shared among them, since certain data are specific to each branch. Thus, sharing the entire file is not functional.
This routine enables some fields concerning the product to be separated per branch, using a table independent from the standard table SB1 - Product, which is the table SBZ – Product Indicators. Hence, the Product Register can be used in a shared way, and you can have a product indicator table exclusive per branch.
In the register Product Indicator, there are some fields common to the Product Register, what enables these products to be different among the company branches. Therefore, when a certain product is entered in a routine that uses product indicators, they are checked to be in the table SBZ - Product Indicator to select data concerning this product. In case product indicators are not in the table, data entered in the Product Register are used.

- In the environment Configurator, check the content of the parameter MV_ARQPROD that identifies if data of product indicators are considered by the table SB1 – Product Register or by the table SBZ – Product Indicators.

Procedures
Registering product indicator:
- In the maintenance window of Product Indicator, select Add.
The window Product Indicator - Add is displayed. - Fill out data according to field help instructions.
