Through Traceability Control, you can trace the path taken by the product in the Company. Besides, you can also restrict the use of Products with expired Due Date.
Traceability Control is based on the use of Lots that are assigned to a Product group when it is entered in the system. This Lot number follows the Product through several processes in the system, enabling you, for example, to know which Lots of Raw Material were used in the production of certain Finished product.
Suppose problems are found in the raw material of this Finished Product. With Traceability Control activated, you can precisely know which raw materials were used in the production because the search is restricted to specific Lots and not to the entire amount of the Product in Stock.
Procedures
Using traceability control per product:
1. Define the parameter MV_RASTRO that enables traceability control with S.
2. In Product Register, you can choose between two types of traceability:
This type of traceability enables a stricter and more detailed control, with information about Lot and Sub-lot in each movement made. The balance is considered separately for each sub-lot.
Example:
Requesting 1600 units of Product A is unfeasible if in stock there are:
Sub-lot 00001 - 1000 units
Sub-lot 00002 - 600 units
Therefore, requesting 1000 from one sub-lot and 600 from another one is necessary.
In case of traceability per Lot, balance is grouped per lot, where sub-lot is not even entered in a request. Therefore, requesting 1600 units at once is possible.
You only need to enter the lot number in the movements, since the sub-lot number is ignored.
Important:
To block/unblock Lots manually, use Lot Blockage.
