A product identified as ghost is used as a kit that groups several products. This type of product is neither produced nor requested, but its components are.
This resource facilitates the registration of structures that have a series of components in common.
Example:
To manufacture a series of products, the same 20-screw kit is required. Therefore, instead of entering 20 screws in each one of the structures, a ghost product can be created in order to represent this set of screws.
Procedures
1. Register the main products.
Example:
CUPBOARD A
CUPBOARD B
CUPBOARD C
2. Register a ghost product to represent the components.
Example:
SCR01
3. Register the ghost product structure with the components.
4. In the structure of main products, indicate only the ghost product.
By adding a production order of CUPBOARD A, the ghost product SCR1 is disregarded and the components are requested.
