This option enables projection of currency rates for a specific period. Projection can be made in two ways:

• Line Regression

Projection is based on the behavior of values in a given period (number of previous days). To proceed with linear regression, you need at least 2 previous values.

• Inflation

Projects the inflation of the month entered, based on the inflation rate forecast for the period.

Procedures

To perform profile maintenance:

1. In the Currencies maintenance window, select Project.

The system displays the screen for projection of currencies.

2. Enter the number of days for projection of currency rates.

3. Check the option box for projected linear regression or inflation for each currency.

4. If you selected projection by regression, enter the number of days prior to the system date to be considered for calculating the projection.

5. If you selected projected inflation, enter the inflation rate forecast for the period.

6. Click OK to confirm projection.
